Carciofini Company celebrates Women in Construction Week #wicweek by honoring the women that make up 15% of our construction crews. These seven women are members of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 or LIUNA – Laborers’ International Union of North America Local 563. When we asked them why they chose a career in construction, they collectively replied; “We like the variety of work opportunities, daily physical and mental challenges. We are grateful for the solidarity among co-workers.”
